AL ROYALS RANGERS 2015

KANSAS CITY ROYALS WIN!

The Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge is a competition between two American League Clubs: the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers. The winner of Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge was the MLB Club with the most total points at the end of the 2015 regular season. Points were earned when fans pledged to be Good Sports – designated drivers – at MLB games.

In 2014, the participating AL Central Clubs had a record number of fans pledge to be designated drivers – 29,498 in total. The Clubs competing consider the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge a success when even more fans pledge to be responsible in 2015. The Royals and Rangers combined designated driver total for 2015 was 30,868 – making the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge a huge success!

The Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge is proof, once again, that Responsibility Really Does Have Its Rewards!

Rivalry games are those games when the competing American League Clubs host each other. Competing AL Clubs are the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers.

At these games, special promotions were in place to encourage fans to pledge to be Budweiser Good Sport designated drivers for their friends and family that day. Each designated driver helped their favorite Club earn one point in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge.

The Kansas City Royals won the 2015 Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge because they had the most total points at the end of the 2015 regular season.

In addition to bragging rights, the Royals earned a pretty cool trophy and fans of both Clubs will enjoy a safe and family-friendly experience at the ballparks. The Clubs need help from their fans in order to earn points in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge.

For every fan who makes a pledge to be a designated driver at the ballpark during regular season home games, that Club will earn one point in the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Challenge.

Designated drivers must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Promise not to drink alcohol at the game
  • Provide safe and sober transportation for their group

Fans may only pledge to be designated drivers once per game.
